Financial Institutions and Attorneys filing foreclosure civil  cases in regards to homes and land in Port Malabar, Unit 45 (Lockmar Estates), Brevard County, FL please read the following statement prior to filing with the Clerk of the Court of Brevard County:

Dear Financial Institution or Foreclosure Attorney:

The Lockmar Estates Homeowner’s Association is a completely voluntary homeowner’s association. The Lockmar Estates Homeowner’s Association charges twenty-five dollars ($25) per year in dues which are remitted voluntarily by those residents wishing to join. The Lockmar Estates Homeowners Association primarily functions as a community association which represents our residents’ interests via the political system to our city and county government. The Lockmar Estates Homeowner’s Association has no legal authority to place liens on houses for nonpayment of dues, or for any other reason. The only legal authority granted to the association is to enforce certain covenant deed restrictions as to house size and design prior to the construction of the house. The association has absolutely no financial interest/stake in any property in Port Malabar, Unit 45 currently or in the future undergoing foreclosure proceedings. In light of the foregoing facts, you are respectfully asked to not name the Lockmar Estates Homeowner’s Association as a co-defendant in any foreclosure civil case/proceedings regarding properties in Port Malabar, Unit 45.
